THE TEMPORARY COLLECTIVE

EXPLORING ESSAYS & STORYTELLING - BRUSSELS, SEPTEMBER 26 2016.

Overview

A full-day workshop featuring conversations, exercises and shooting focusing on storytelling through photographic essays. We will discuss subject, methodology, engagement and storyboarding.

All essays will become part of a special section in a future issue of the KAGE Collective online publication. We hope to challenge participants on what constitutes a story and how to create a narrative within limited time constraints.

This workshop is open to photographers of all levels who want to improve their storytelling abilities. All you need is a camera with a standard lens, a pair of comfortable shoes and a photo editing device (iPad, laptop, smartphone) to edit your images in the evening. Fujifilm gear will also be available on a limited basis—but if there's a specific X-series camera or lens you'd like to test, let us know and we'll see what we can do.

Workshop leaders: Bert Stephani and Patrick La Roque.
Maximum of 6 participants.
